Este precioso enclave del antiguo Mare Nostrum es un archipiélago compuesto por 5 islas y varios islotes. Dividido en dos grupos de islas, al Norte las Gimnesias (Mallorca, Menorca y Cabrera) y al Suroeste las Pitiusas (Ibiza y Formentera).
